Here are some of the projects Steph is currently involved with:

KABIR PERCUSSION

Steph has been working with Christian Paré and Kabir Percussion since almost nine years. Playing drumset and all different kind of percussion instruments, he enriches his style by playing Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and African music. He is part of every live performance and is also on the album.

With Kabir, arts, probably music, are an excellent way to show and to live the diversity of contemporary pluralists societies, to appreciate their cultural richness. ‘Kabir Percussion’ is a superb reflection of this multi-ethnic reality. Indeed, this group’s musicians are from various origins and play instruments from all over the world: Senegal, Brazil, Australia, Chile, Wendake, Quebec.

Its name ‘Kabir Percussion’, comes from a Native word, ‘Kabir Kouba’, a waterfall that links Wendake, a Huron reserve, and Quebec City.

The musicians evolve on varied rhythms coming from Brazil, Africa, Latin America and the musical styles are modern, melting ethnic and urban percussions. Let yourself be swept away along this unique, authentic music, a blend of purity and interbreeding!”
