Steph only plays SABIAN Cymbals. This allows him to dynamically build a drum solo or groove through the full range of playing, from very soft to very loud. His full cymbal setup gives the total orchestral control of sound he needs to go from a tiny splash to a roaring Ride or Crash. This opens the range of expression to go anywhere.
Stephane has studied drumset with many respected teachers in New York, New Jersey, Toronto and Germany, including Claus Hessler, Dom Famularo, Jim Chapin, Rick Gratton, Billy Ward, Robby Ameen, Jeff Salem, Paul DeLong, Joe Bergamini, John Favicchia and Aldo Mazza. He went to Manhattan School of Music and studied with John Riley and Bobby Sanabria. Stephane also studied at the Conservatory of Music in Quebec City and with several teachers in the are. The studio is not only a recording studio but also the only accredited Wizdom Drumshed in Canada that offers the most productive teaching environment possible to aspiring students.
Working out of his world-class home studio in Canada, Stephane is now recording his playing for artists all around the world. With Steph’s amazing studio technology, recording drum tracks for your CDs or projects is easier than ever, with amazing sounding results.
I wanted nothing but the best drummer possible for my album and that's exacly what I got when I asked Stephane. He works with passion just like it's his own project, which is of course really appreciated by a composer ! Musicality, quality and professionnalism, that's Stephane Chamberland! - Mathieu Fiset
